6 Tips For Your Lake Geneva Wedding Invitations

Alyssa and Thomas wanted to make an impression on their guests for their Lake Geneva wedding starting with their wedding invitations.  With Lake Geneva being so near and dear to them (Alyssa’s family had a cottage on the lake), they knew they couldn’t go wrong when they decided to base their theme off their beloved summer getaway spot. Below are 6 tips you can use to make your Lake Geneva Wedding Invitations special:

Create a Custom Logo

We took the shape of the lake, the couple’s initials, and the latitude and longitude of the lake to make a logo that ended up being used on various elements of their wedding as an extra little detail.

Use a personal photo

With the power of Photoshop we used a family photo of their dock and made it look like a watercolor masterpiece! This created our color palette and added a personal touch to the backside of the invitation.

Alyssa and Thomas took a classic design and made it their own. Their suite was able to set the tone for the weekend, letting their guests know what to expect.

Utilize a Map

Not only can a map be an informative piece crucial for out of town guests, it can also be a work of art! We did a matching watercolor wash for the lake to tie everything together.

Try a unique Shape

Allie and Thomas had their rehearsal dinner on The Louise which is part of the Lake Geneva Cruise Line. We created a custom boarding pass with an image of The Louise. The fun shape mimics the same shape as a boarding pass, which helps gets your guests excited about what’s to come.

Get fun with your wording

October 12th is National Farmer’s Day…did you know that? We didn’t! But when we looked up what odd national holiday fell on the day of Allie and Thomas’s wedding we knew we had to sneak that in there! Have fun with your RSVP wording! You might even get a few more back in the mail instead of having to call all those last few stragglers that forgot to RSVP on time!

Get creative with a signature cocktail

Allie and Thomas each had their own signature cocktail for the reception. They decided to make it even more personal by putting a spin on the names of their cocktails. We printed them on acrylic to keep a clean, fun look. You can learn more about signage here.

It was such a pleasure coming up with something so special for Alyssa and Thomas. Every last detail was thought of, truly making their Lake Geneva wedding invitations special! You can get more info about scheduling your free consultation here.
